Above all, I want to welcome you to this new page of the Association of Veterans of the U.O.E. As many of you know we have worked hard, very hard for some time and today we see the fruit of our work. We have had good and bad times until we achieved the goal we set ourselves, but that it is the game of life. Our intention was to make an association where those that served in UOE and those that love and admire us, could come together. We have achieved this and here we are, continuing to advance towards our goal, without taking a step backwards, as they taught us.

They also taught us to work as a team, in “ESTOLES” and that’s what we have done, worked together. There is no mystery in this, everything we have achieved is because we have worked as an ESTOL, in the manner of an ESTOL and always for the UOE, for this, the 5º ESTOL has achieved so much in so little time. I want all those who are part of this 5º ESTOL to be proud of their work and of their selflessness.

 From here, I want to congratulate them all, but in particular those who have been with me side by side, those that have put their heart in this enterprise, giving their free time for us and, some of them, having had bad moments: To HADES (Jorge), to VEGA, HERACLES, ALIMAÑA (another Jorge), David and also to LOLA. They were the ones who faced the music, the ones that signed and the ones who, to this day, have been at all times prepared for anything.

 MI CONGRATULATIONS, COMRADES AND FRIENDS. Everyone else has joined later and some have already done a lot of work, prove of this is this website; they are also willing to work a lot more and have bet heavily on the 5º ESTOL.

 THANKS FOR BEING LIKE YOU ARE. The unit also deserves our most sincere admiration… YOU HAVE ALL BEHAVED INCREDIBLY. And thanks to so many that have helped us and continue to help us from the different “Tercios” and from the different destinations: TERLEV, TERNOR, TEAR, TERSUR, RETIN, etc. from the highest ranking officer to the last of the soldiers.

 Separately we all are mortal, together we are eternal.
